Asked: How to help my dog not poop in his crate?We have a new puppy (5 months-- not a rescue) and we crate him at night. AT NIGHT he never has any accidents. HOWEVER, when we leave him (even if only for 1-2 hours) he poops in his crate. We make sure he goes to the bathroom right before we leave and when he goes in crate he is happy because it is his "safe spot."
