Dog Training Questions

Laura asks…How do you train a dog to sit?So I am trying to train my dog that my family found found basic commands (sit, stay etc.) when I try to get her to sit though, that is when the problem happens. I get a treat and hold it at her nose, then bring it up trying to get her to sit down, but instead, she jumps up to try to get the treat.
