Daniel asks…Training with hand signals?I've always unconsciously used hand signals when training my dogs. I've never really had specific use for any of the signals that I use. My first dog responded to nonverbal commands when I just signaled to him.
However, now I have a bit of a problem- Louie has a very difficult time responding to commands without the gestures. We've just recently made success with "sit" without the signal, but "down", "stay" and "come" are proving to be difficult.
