Laura asks…As a professional dog trainer and behaviorist, I am curious why people are willing to pay $1500?(or more) to purchase a dog (mixed breed at that?),
$500 or so a year for dog food,
$100-$150 for annual vet visits,
$400 for toys, crate etc
$1000+ for damaged personal property (from chewing, digging etc)
but won’t pay $60-$100 for a private training consultation to create a training plan to help their dog become the companion of their dreams?
